temperatureishigh,movethechokelevertothe
HALFCHOKEorRUNposition.
3.Pullthestarterhandlelightlyuntilyoufeel
resistance,thenpullthehandlebriskly.Return
thestarterhandlegently.
4.Aftertheenginestarts,movethechokeleverto
theHALFCHOKEposition.
5.Runtheenginefor5to10seconds,thenslowly
movethechokelevertotheRUNposition.
ShuttingOfftheEngine
1.Releasethethrottlecontrol.
2.Movetheengineon/offswitchtotheOFF
position.
3.Waitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleaving
theoperatingposition.
UsingtheEdger
1.Startthemachine.
2.Ensurethattheleftrearwheelisonahard
surfaceandtheedgerbladeisoverthearea
tobecut.
3.Usetheblade-depthlevertolowerthebladeto
thedesireddepthofcut.
4.Squeezethethrottlecontroltoengagetheblade.
5.Slowlymovethemachinealongthepathforward
andrearward.Ensurethattheleftrearwheel
isonthehardsurfaceandthatthebladecuts
closeto,butdoesnottouch,thehardsurface.
6.Afteredging,releasethethrottlecontrolanduse
theblade-depthlevertoraisetheblade.
AdjustingtheCuttingAngle
Youcanchangethecuttingangleto0,10,or20
degreesfromvertical.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shutoffthe
engine,andwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
2.Pulltheleverouttheslotandmoveittothe
desiredposition.
