insulatorusuallymeanstheaircleanerisdirty.
Setthegapto0.75mm(0.03inch).

1.Threadthesparkplugclockwiseintothe
spark-plugholebyhand.
2.Rotatethesparkplugclockwiseusinga
spark-plugwrenchuntiltheplugandsealing
washerareseated.
3.Tightenthesparkplugasfollows:
•Wheninstallingtheoriginalsparkplug,
tightenthepluganadditional1/2turn.
•Wheninstallinganewsparkplug,tightenthe
pluganadditional1/8to1/4turn.
Important:Aloosesparkplugmaycause
thecylindertooverheat.Anover-tightspark
plugmaydamagethethreadsinthecylinder
head.
4.Connectthespark-plugwiretothesparkplug.

ServicingtheFuelFilter
1.RefertoPreparingforMaintenance(page17).
2.Drainfuelfromthefueltank.
3.Removethe2nutssecuringthemufertothe
engineandremovethemufer.
4.Removethe3boltssecuringthefuel-tank
assemblytotheengine.
5.Gentlyliftthefueltankofftheengine.Loosen
thehoseclampanddisconnectthehosefrom
thelter.
