RemovingtheSparkPlug
1.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch,movethemotion
controlsoutwardtotheparkposition,stoptheengine,
andremovethekey.
2.Beforeremovingthesparkplug(s),cleanthearea
aroundthebaseoftheplugtokeepdirtanddebrisout
oftheengine.
3.Pullthewireoffthesparkplug(s)(
Figure32).
4.Removethesparkplug(s)andthemetalwasher.

Important:Donotcleanthesparkplug(s).Always
replacethesparkplug(s)whenithas:ablackcoating,
wornelectrodes,anoilylm,orcracks.
Ifyouseelightbrownorgrayontheinsulator,theengineis
operatingproperly.Ablackcoatingontheinsulatorusually
meanstheaircleanerisdirty.
Setthegapto0.76mm(0.030inch).
