installtheidlerspringoverthedeckpostandplacing
tensionontheidlerpulleyandmowerbelt(Figure73).
11.Ensurethatthebeltisproperlyseatedinallpulleys.
12.Toinstallthebeltcovers,insertthetabsontheeach
coverintothecorrespondingslotsonthedeckbracket,
ensuringthattheyseat.Rotatethecovertothedeck
andslidethenotchesundertheloosenedboltsuntil
theyareseated.Tightentheboltstosecurethecover
tothedeck.
RemovingtheMower
Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagetheblade
controlswitch.Movethemotioncontrolleversoutwardto
theneutralposition,engageparkingbrake,stoptheengine,
removethekey,andwaitforallmovingpartstostopbefore
leavingtheoperatingposition.
Lowerthemowertothe3inch(76mm)height-of-cut
position.Removethemowerbeltfromtheenginepulley;
refertotheReplacingtheMowerBeltprocedure.Lowerthe
mowertothelowestheight-of-cut.
