Usejackstandwhensupportingmachine.
Donotusehydraulicjacks.
Checktomakesurethebrakeisadjustedproperly.
1.Drivethemachineontoalevelsurface.
2.Disengagethebladecontrolswitch(PTO),movethe
motioncontrolleverstotheneutrallockedposition
andsettheparkingbrake.
3.Stoptheengine,waitforallthemovingpartstostop,
andremovethekey.
4.Raisethebackofthemachineupandsupportthe
machinewithjackstands.
5.Removethereartiresfromthemachine.
6.Removeanydebrisfromthebrakearea.
7.Openthedrivewheelreleasevalves.RefertoUsing
theDriveWheelValvesinOperation.
8.Disengagetheparkingbrake.
9.Usinghandsandngersonly,pushthecaliperlever
armtoengagethebrakepadsontherotoruntilthe
leverstops(Figure80).
Notetheorderofthestandardnutandlocknut.
10.Whileholdingtheleveratthestoppedposition,use
theotherhandorngerstopullthecablethreaded
endtightthroughtheswivel.Spinthestandardnut
againsttheswivel(
Figure80).
11.Trytoturnthewheelhubinbothdirectionsrelative
tothecaliper.Thereshouldbeslightmovement
betweenthem;somefriction/resistanceisacceptable.
12.Ifthereisnomovementbetweenthehubrotorand
thecaliperthenbackoffthestandardnutoneturn
fromtheswivelandrepeatstep

13.Ifthehubrotormovesveryfreelyrelativetothe
caliper,thentightenthestandardnutoneturn
againsttheswivelandrepeatstep11
14.Oncestep11isachieved,holdthethreadedrod
endwithatoolandtightenthelocknutagainstthe
standardnut.DoNotallowthecabletoturnwhen
thenutsaretightened.
