If your Toro Lawn Mower engine doesn't start, starts hard, or fails to keep running, consider these potential causes: * The fuel tank may be empty: Fill the fuel tank. * The choke (if applicable) may not be on: Move the choke lever to the ON position. * The air cleaner may be dirty: Clean or replace the air-cleaner element. * The spark-plug wire(s) may be loose or disconnected: Install the wire(s) on the spark plug. * The spark plug(s) may be pitted, fouled, or the gap may be incorrect: Install a new, correctly gapped spark plug(s). * There may be dirt in the fuel filter: Replace the fuel filter. * The oil level in the crankcase may be low: Add oil to the crankcase. * There may be incorrect fuel in the fuel tank: Drain the tank and replace the fuel with the proper type.
