Thetrimmercomesfromthefactorywithacuttingswathof33cm(13inches)asshowninAofFigure13.Refer
tothefollowinginstructionstoadjusttheswathto38.1cm(15inches)asshowninDofFigure13.
1.Removetheswathbladefromthebottomoftheguardbyremovingthe2screwsholdingitinplaceusing
theprovidedAllenwrench(BofFigure13)androtatetheswathblade180°.
2.Oncetheswathbladeisrotated,installitontotheguardusingthe2screwspreviouslyremoved(Cof

•Keepthetrimmertiltedtowardtheareabeingcut;
thisisthebestcuttingarea.
•Thestringtrimmercutswhenyoumoveitfrom
righttoleft.Thispreventsthetrimmerfrom
throwingdebrisatyou.
•Usethetipofthestringtodothecutting;donot
forcethestringheadintouncutgrass.
•Wireandpicketfencescancausethestringto
wearrapidlyandevenbreak.Stoneandbrick
walls,curbs,andwoodcanalsocausethestring
towearrapidly.
•Avoidtreesandshrubs.Thestringcaneasily
damagetreebark,woodmoldings,siding,and
fenceposts.
