DANGER
Withoutthegrassdeector,dischargecover,
orcompletegrasscatcherassemblymounted
inplace,youandothersareexposedtoblade
contactandthrowndebris.Contactwith
rotatingmowerblade(s)andthrowndebris
causeinjuryordeath.
•Donotremovethegrassdeectorfrom
themachine,becausethegrassdeector
routesmaterialdowntowardtheturf.Ifthe
grassdeectoriseverdamaged,replaceit
immediately.
•Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
machine.
•Nevertrytoclearthedischargeareaor
mowerbladesunlessyoureleasethebail
andthepowertakeoff(PTO)isoff.Rotate
thekeytotheOFFposition.Alsoremove
thekeyanddisconnectthewire(s)from
thesparkplug(s).
AdjustingtheHeight-of-Cut
Theheight-of-cutcanbeadjustedfrom38to127mm
(1-1/2to5inches)in6mm(1/4inch)increments.
Note:Usingaheight-of-cutunder51mm(2inches)
increasesthewearonthemower-deckbelt.Usea
height-of-cutthatisgreaterthan51mm(2inches)
wheneverpossible.

Youcanadjustthemower-dischargeowfordifferent
typesofmowingconditions.Positionthecamlock
andbafetoprovidethebestqualityofcut.
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotion-control
leverstotheNEUTRAL-LOCKposition,and
engagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
