AdjustingtheWeight
TransferoftheMowerDeck
NoPartsRequired
Procedure
Youcanchangethehydraulicpressureusedto
transfertheweightofthemowerdecktothetraction
unitbyadjustingweight-transfervalveofthelift
manifold.Forbestcuttingperformance,adjustthe
weight-transfervalvesothatanybouncingmotionof
themowerdeckisminimaloveruneventurf,butalso
adjusttheweight-transfervalvesothatthemower
deckdoesnotrideheavilyoveratterrain.
•Toimprovethecontour-trackingperformance
ofthecuttingdeckasyouoperatethemachine
overuneventurf,decreasetheweight-transfer
(hydraulic)pressureattheliftmanifold.
Note:Ifthecastersofthemowerdeckoatabove
theground,thehydraulicpressureoftheweight
transfervalveissetattoohigh.
•Whenyouarecuttingatturf,whenthecutting
deckisscalpingthegrass,orifthequalityof
cutisunevenfromsidetoside,increasethe
weight-transferpressureattheliftmanifold.
Note:Increasingweight-transferpressurealso
transferstheweightfromthecastersofthecutting
decktothewheelsofthetractionunit,thereby
improvingthetractionofthetractionunit.
Adjusttheweight-transferpressureasfollows:
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engage
theparkingbrake,lowerthecuttingdeck,shut
offtheengine,andremovethekeyfromthekey
switch.
2.Locatetheliftmanifoldfromunderthemachine,
inboardtherightframechannel,behindthefront
axle(Figure12).
