Every1,000hours—Changethehydrauliclter.
Every2,000hours—Changethehydraulicuid.
Ifthehydraulicuidbecomescontaminated,contact
yourauthorizedTorodistributor;thesystemmustbe
ushed.Contaminateduidlooksmilkyorblackwhen
comparedtocleanuid.
Important:UseTororeplacementlters;referto
themachinePartsCatalog.Usinganyotherlter
mayvoidthewarrantyonsomecomponents.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthe
cuttingunit,engagetheparkingbrake,shutoff
theengine,andremovethekey.
2.Placealargedrainpanunderthehydraulic-uid
tank.
3.Removethehydraulic-tankcapanddipstick.
4.Removethedrainplug(Figure74)fromthe
bottomofthetankandletthehydraulicuidow
intothepan.

removethelter,andletanyremainingoildrain
intothepan.
7.Lubricatethenewltergasketandllthelter

8.Ensurethatthelter-mountingareaisclean
andscrewthelteronuntilthegasketcontacts
themountingplate;thentightenthelteran
additional1/2turn.
9.Fillthehydraulictankwithhydraulicuid;refer
toCheckingtheHydraulic-FluidLevel(page58).
Important:Useonlythehydraulicuids
specied.Otheruidscouldcausesystem
damage.
10.Installthedrainplugwhenthehydraulicuid
stopsdraining.
11.Installthereservoirdipstickandcap.
12.Starttheengineanduseallofthehydraulic
controlsinthefollowingordertodistribute
hydraulicuidthroughoutthesystem:
A.Usethetractionpedaltomovethemachine
forwardandbackward.
B.Usethesteeringwheeltomovethetiresall
thewaytotherightandleft.
C.Usetheliftswitchtoraiseandlowerthe
attachment(e.g.,cuttingunit).
13.Checkforleaksandshutofftheengine.
14.Checkthehydraulicuidlevelinthetank;refer
toCheckingtheHydraulic-FluidLevel(page58).

LinesandHoses
ServiceInterval:Every2years
Inspectthehydrauliclinesandhosesdailyfor
leaks,kinkedlines,loosemountingsupports,wear,
loosettings,weatherdeterioration,andchemical
deterioration.Makeallnecessaryrepairsbefore
operatingthemachine.
