Why won't my Toro Snow Blower engine start?
    • W
      williamsaustinAug 21, 2025
If your Toro Snow Blower engine won't start or starts hard, possible causes and solutions include: 1. Ensure the key is in the ignition and turned to the On position. 2. Move the choke to the On position and press the primer 3 times. 3. Open the fuel shutoff valve. 4. Move the throttle to the Fast position. 5. Drain and/or fill the fuel tank with fresh gasoline (not more than 30 days old). 6. Connect the wire to the spark plug. 7. Check the spark plug and adjust the gap if necessary. Replace the spark plug if it is pitted, fouled, or cracked. 8. Remove the vent restriction or replace the fuel cap. 9. Add or drain oil to adjust the oil level in the engine crankcase to the Full mark on the dipstick.

What to do if Toro Power Max 1028LXE does not discharge snow properly?
    • M
      Martha GuerreroAug 25, 2025
If your Toro snowthrower isn't discharging snow well, consider these points: * Ensure the throttle is in the 'Fast' position when throwing snow. * Try shifting to a lower gear, as you might be moving too fast. * Reduce the amount of snow you're trying to clear in each pass. * Avoid overloading the snowthrower with extremely heavy or wet snow. * If the discharge chute is plugged, refer to Unclogging the Discharge Chute on page 15. * For issues with the auger/impeller drive belt (loose, off the pulley, worn, or broken), refer to www.Toro.com for servicing information or take the snowthrower to an Authorized Service Dealer.

Why Toro Snow Blower engine runs rough?
    • R
      Renee FrederickAug 26, 2025
If your Toro snow blower engine is running rough, it could be due to: the choke being in the On position (move it to the Off position), the fuel shutoff valve not being completely open (open it fully), stale fuel or a nearly empty fuel tank (drain and fill with fresh gasoline, not more than 30 days old; if the problem persists, contact an Authorized Service Dealer), or a loose spark plug wire (connect the wire to the spark plug).

If your Toro snowthrower isn't clearing snow effectively, it might be because the skids and/or scraper aren't properly adjusted, so adjust them. Also, check the tire pressure and adjust if necessary to ensure it's even.
