Problem Possible Causes
Engine cranks, but does not start. Wiring to start circuits (see Wiring Schematics) is
loose, corroded, or damaged.
Diode (D1) circuit board/connector housing is open if
engine starts with operator in the seat.
Fuel valve solenoid is faulty.
Glow plugs are faulty.
Engine or fuel system is malfunctioning (see Chapter
6 – Engine).
Engine and fuel may be to cold.
Engine cranks (but should not) with the traction pedal Traction (neutral) interlock switch is out of adjustment,
out of the neutral position. faulty, or short circuited.
Diode (D1) circuit board/connector housing is short
circuited.
Engine cranks (but should not) with the cutting unit Backlap/mow switch is in the backlap position.
