What to do if a single cutting unit motor will not operate or rotates slowly on my Toro Lawn Mower?
    • D
      Donna ReidSep 10, 2025
If a single cutting unit motor on your Toro Lawn Mower will not operate or rotates slowly, replace the worn or damaged cutting unit motor and rectify the cross-over relief valve issue. This may occur if the cutting unit motor is worn or damaged or the cross-over relief valve in the cutting unit motor is stuck or faulty.

What to do if there is no traction in either direction on my Toro Reelmaster 5210 Lawn Mower?
    • S
      Shannon EllisAug 23, 2025
If you have no traction in either direction with your Toro Lawn Mower, locate the cause of the trouble and correct it. Potential causes include the parking brake dragging or binding, misadjusted or damaged traction control linkage, low oil level in the hydraulic reservoir, a loosened traction pump bypass valve, a damaged flushing valve in the traction pump, a damaged piston pump check valve, low charge pressure, or worn or damaged wheel motor(s) and/or piston pump.

Why is the steering inoperative or sluggish on my Toro Reelmaster 5210?
    • S
      Susan McgeeAug 25, 2025
If the steering on your Toro Lawn Mower is inoperative or sluggish, identify and correct the causes affecting steering operations. Possible causes include worn or binding steering components, a binding steering cylinder, low oil level in the hydraulic reservoir, a stuck or damaged steering relief valve, internal leaks in the steering cylinder, a worn or damaged steering control valve, or a worn or damaged gear pump section.

Why is the hydraulic fluid foaming in my Toro Reelmaster 5210 Lawn Mower?
    • P
      Philip WalterAug 26, 2025
If the hydraulic fluid in your Toro Lawn Mower is foaming, correct the oil level, check the type of oil, and fix any air leaks in the pump suction line. This issue may arise if the oil level in the hydraulic reservoir is low, the hydraulic system has the wrong kind of oil, or the pump suction line has an air leak.

What to do if none of the cutting units will raise or lower on my Toro Reelmaster 5210 Lawn Mower?
    • K
      Kenneth ReyesAug 27, 2025
If none of the cutting units on your Toro Lawn Mower will raise or lower, locate the cause of the trouble and correct it. This could be due to a low oil level in the hydraulic reservoir, the MR1 and/or MR2 in the lift control manifold being in the backlap position, a faulty solenoid valve SVRV on the lift control manifold, an electrical problem preventing the SVRV solenoid coil from being energized, or a worn or damaged gear pump section.

Why won't the rear cutting unit motors operate on my Toro Reelmaster 5210, but the front ones will?
    • K
      Kimberly HarrisonAug 29, 2025
If the rear cutting unit motors on your Toro Lawn Mower will not operate but the front cutting unit motors will operate, test and replace solenoid valve MSV1 if necessary, ensure the mow/backlap lever is fully rotated, and check for electrical issues. This problem may occur if solenoid valve MSV1 on the mow control manifold is faulty, the mow/backlap lever for the rear cutting units (MR1) is not rotated fully, an electrical problem exists that prevents the MSV1 solenoid coil from being energized, the rear cutting reel(s) is binding, or gear pump section (P1) is worn or damaged.

Why won't the wheel motors hold a load when the traction pedal is in neutral on my Toro Reelmaster 5210 Lawn Mower?
    • W
      Wendy SolomonSep 18, 2025
If the wheel motors on your Toro Lawn Mower will not hold a load when the traction pedal is in neutral, check the charge pressure and replace or repair the valve plate and/or piston shoes. This could be due to low charge pressure or scored valve plate and/or piston shoes in the piston pump.

Why is a single cutting unit lifting slowly or not at all on my Toro Lawn Mower?
    • M
      Michael DuffySep 12, 2025
If a single cutting unit lifts slowly or not at all on your Toro Lawn Mower, clean the debris buildup, check and address any binding, and repair or replace damaged components. The issue might be excessive debris buildup on the cutting unit, a binding lift arm or lift cylinder, a stuck or damaged pilot piston in the lift control manifold, internal leaks in the lift cylinder, or a plugged or damaged flow control orifice in the lift control manifold for the affected cutting unit.

    Kristin HuynhSep 8, 2025
Why won't the rear cutting units raise or lower on my Toro Lawn Mower, but the front ones will?
    • D
      douglas46Sep 8, 2025
If neither of the rear cutting units will raise or lower but the front cutting units will raise and lower on your Toro Lawn Mower, test and replace solenoid valve SV3 if necessary, and check for electrical issues. This could be due to a faulty solenoid valve SV3 on the lift control manifold, an electrical problem preventing the SV3 solenoid coil on the lift control manifold from being energized, a plugged or damaged flow control orifice in the lift control manifold for the rear cutting units (C23 or C23L), or a stuck or damaged check valve in the lift control manifold for the rear cutting units (CV23).

Why is neutral difficult to find on my Toro Reelmaster 5210, or why does it operate in one direction only?
    • T
      Thomas MurphySep 5, 2025
If neutral is difficult to find or the unit operates in one direction only on your Toro Lawn Mower, adjust or repair the traction control linkage and check the piston pump. This could be caused by misadjusted, disconnected, binding, or damaged traction control linkage, a piston pump check relief valve that is not seating or is damaged, or a worn or damaged piston pump.
