ReplacingtheMowerBelt
Thesignsofawornbeltincludesquealingwhilethe
beltisrotating,bladesslippingwhilecuttinggrass,
andfrayededges,burnmarks,andcracksonthebelt.
Replacethemowerbeltifanyoftheseconditionsare
evident.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
theblade-controlswitch,andmovethe
motion-controlleversoutwardtothePARK
position.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Settheheightofcutatthelowestcuttingposition
(38mmor1-1/2inches).
4.Removethehairpincotterandpushinthetab
onthecovertoremovethepulleycovers(Figure
48).
