inplace,youandothersareexposedtoblade
contactandthrowndebris.Contactwith
rotatingmowerblade(s)andthrowndebriswill
causeinjuryordeath.
•Neverremovethegrassdeectorfrom
themowerbecausethegrassdeector
routesmaterialdowntowardtheturf.Ifthe
grassdeectoriseverdamaged,replaceit
immediately.
•Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
mower.
•Nevertrytocleardischargeareaormower
bladesunlessyoumovethebladecontrol
switchtoOffandrotatetheignitionkeyto
Off.Alsoremovethekeyandpullthewire
offthesparkplug(s).

Themowerdeckandmowerbladesshippedwith
thismachineweredesignedforoptimummulching
performance.Sidedischargeperformancecanbe
improvedbyreplacingthemulchingbladeswith
standardcuttingbladesobtainedfromyourlocal
authorizedTorodealer.Tomaintainoptimummulching
performance,alwaysinstallthemulchingbladesthatare
shippedwiththisunitwhenchangingbacktomulching
operation.

Note:Ifthebaggerattachmentisaddedtothe
machine,standardbladesmustbeinstalledforproper
baggingfunction.ContactyourlocalauthorizedToro
dealerfortheproperpartnumber.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengage
thebladecontrolswitch.
2.Movethemotioncontrolleversoutwardtopark
position,stoptheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Removethe2boltsandnutsthatsecurethe
dischargecovertothemower(Figure22).

2.Movethemotioncontrolleversoutwardtopark
position,stoptheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Liftthegrassdeectorandslidethetabsontop
ofthedischargecoverunderthegrassdeector
retainingrod.Rotatethedischargecoverdownover
theopening,andontothelowerlipofthemower
(Figure23).
