InstallingtheFilters
Important:Topreventenginedamage,always
operatetheenginewithbothairltersandthe
coverinstalled.
1.Ifinstallingnewlters,checkeachlterfor
shippingdamage.
Note:Donotuseadamagedlter.
2.Ifthesecondarylterisbeingreplaced,carefully
slideitintothelterbody(Figure47).
3.Carefullyslidetheprimarylteroverthe
secondarylter(Figure47).
4.Ensurethatitisfullyseatedbypushingonthe
outerrimofthelterwhileinstallingit.
Important:Donotpressonthesoftinside
areaofthelter.
5.Installtheair-cleanercoverwiththebreathercap
down,androtatesothattheretainingclamps
lockthecoverinplace(Figure47).

OilType:Detergentoil(APIserviceSG,SH,SJ,or
higher)
CrankcaseCapacity:withalterchange,2.3L(2.4
USqt);withoutalterchange,2.1L(2.2USqt)
Viscosity:Seethetablebelow.
