Adding and clearing channels and inputs in the
History list
Items are added to the History list when you:
• Tune to a channel using the number buttons
• Tune to a channel using CH
S or CHT
• Switch to a different video input source
When you tune to a channel or switch to a different
video input, the Channel Browser adds the channel or
input to the History list and displays it on the right side
of the Channel Browser. Previously tuned channels
and inputs are shifted to the left, and eventually move
off the left side. To access previously tuned channels
or video input sources, press BACK CB to scroll
backward through the list.
Any channel or input that you tune to repeatedly is
not repeated in the History list. Instead the channel or
input is moved to the end of the list on the right side
of the Channel Browser.
Items are cleared from the History list when you:
• Turn off your TV
• Change the configuration of the ANT/CABLE IN
jack. See Setting up the ANT/CABLE IN jack on
page 41.
Changing channel settings
This section covers:
• Automatically scanning for channels
• Manually adding channels to the channel list
•Hiding channels
• Setting up the Favorites list
• Tuning to a favorite channel or input
• Deleting a favorite channel or input
Automatically scanning for channels
When you scan for channels, your TV searches for
channels with signals and stores the channel
information in the channel list. When you press CH
S
or CH
T, your TV goes to the next or previous channel
in the channel list. The channel scan may take several
minutes.
1 Make sure that you have set up the ANT/CABLE IN
jack before programming channels. See Setting up
the ANT/CABLE IN jack on page 41.
2 Press MENU, press
S or T to highlight
Installation, then press ENTER.
Note
If you try to tune to a channel or input that
cannot be selected, your TV automatically
tunes to the previously viewed channel or
input.
Note
When you scan for channels, your TV
erases any channels already stored in the
channel list.
If a channel is not stored in the channel
list, you can:
• Use the number button on the remote
control to enter the channel number.
• Manually add the channel to the
channel list. See Manually adding
channels to the channel list on page 61.
