QUESTIONS FOR ERROR CODES
4212 e-Filing storing limitation error When any of the settings below is configured in the
[Printing Preferences] dialog box in the printer driver,
printing with the data being stored in an internal storage
device such as Print and e-Filing or printing and then
storing the data in an internal storage device such as Print
to e-Filing cannot be performed.
Use normal printing such as Hold Print or Multi Station
Print.
[Store to e-Filing] is selected in the [Print Job] box. Then
the [Print] check box is selected in the [Storing to e-
Filing] dialog box displayed by clicking [...] next to the
[Print Job] box.
[Multiple Job Type] is selected in the [Print Job] box.
Then the [Storing to e-Filing] check box is selected in the
[Multiple Job Type] dialog box displayed by clicking [...]
next to the [Print Job] box.
4213 File storing limitation error The file storing function is set to “disabled”. Check the
setting of the equipment.
4214 Fax/iFax transmission failure The Fax/iFax transmission or N/W-Fax/iFax function is set
to “disabled”. Check the setting of the equipment.
4221 Private-print-only error The setting has been set so that printing other than Private
printing is not available. Perform Private printing.
Email direct printing cannot be performed since Private
printing is not selectable for it.
4222 Hold-print-only error Email direct printing cannot be performed since Hold
printing is not selectable for it.
4223 Private-print-only/Hold-print-only

Email direct printing cannot be performed since Private
printing and Hold printing are not selectable for it.
4243 No license error Install the license for Multi Station Print.
4244 Function disabled error Enable the Multi Station Print function with TopAccess.

4311 No authority to execute a job For details, ask your administrator.
4312 Not authorized to store a file For details, ask your administrator.
4313 Not authorized to store in e-Filing For details, ask your administrator.
4314 Not authorized to send a Fax/iFax For details, ask your administrator.
4321 Not authorized to perform printing in
the specified setting
For details, ask your administrator.
4411 Image data generation failure Reattempt printing or use another printer driver (PS3,
Universal). In case of Direct printing, check that the file to
be printed is not broken (e.g.: The file can be opened on a
client computer) or check that the file format is supported.
4412 Double-sign encoding error This has occurred because the PDF file is encrypted in
unsupported script. Printing the file in this function is
impossible.
