There are several reasons why your Toshiba Heat Pump might not be heating or cooling effectively. It could be due to an incorrect setting on the remote controller. Make sure to check the remote controller operation and temperature settings. It may also be due to an incorrect function code setting. Refer to the function code table to verify the settings. Another possible cause is a disconnected backup heater, so you should inspect the backup heater and bimetal thermostat. Insufficient capacity of the heat pump itself or a defect with the temperature sensor could also be factors. Check the equipment selection and ensure the temperature sensor is installed correctly.
