Installing the optical disk drive/MDC modem
To install the optical disk drive/MDC modem, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-
12 to 4-16.
1. Set the ODD upper and secure it with the following screws.
• M2×4C BIND ×2
2. Set the dummy ODD in place.
3. Connect the RJ11 harness to the connector on the MDC modem.
4. Connect the MDC modem to the connector on the MDC FPC and secure them with
following screws.
• M2×4C BIND ×2
5. Turn up the insulator and set the RJ11 harness to the slot while arranging it in place.
6. Set the ODD FPC, ODD rear plate and ODD side plate to the optical disk drive and
secure them with the following screws.
• M2×4C BIND ×2
• M2×3B S-THIN HEAD ×1
7. Set the SD holder to the optical disk drive and secure them with the following screws.
• M2×4C BIND ×2
8. Set the optical disk drive to the slot and secure it with the following screw.
• M2×6C BIND ×1
9. Connect the ODD FPC to the connector CN9400 on the system board.
