Move the s lider to ena ble or dis a ble the S le e p a nd Charge function.
The S le e p a nd Charge function ma y not work with ce rta in externa l
de vice s e ven if they a re compliant with the USB s pecification. In those
ca s e s, turn the powe r of the compute r ON to charge the de vice.
Whe n S le e p a nd Cha rge function is e na bled, US B bus powe r (DC5V)
will be s upplie d to compatible ports e ve n whe n the power of the
compute r is turne d OFF. US B bus powe r (DC5V) is s imila rly s upplie d
to the e xterna l device s which a re conne cte d to the compatible ports .
Howe ve r, s ome e xterna l de vice s ca nnot be cha rge d s ole ly by
supplying US B bus powe r (DC5V). As for the spe cifica tions of the
e xterna l device s , ple a s e contact the device ma nufa cture r or che ck the
spe cifica tions of the e xte rna l de vices thoroughly before us e .
Us ing the s le e p a nd cha rge function to cha rge e xterna l de vice s will
take longe r than cha rging the de vices with their own charge rs.
If S le e p a nd Cha rge function is e na ble d, the compute r’s ba tte ry will
dis cha rge during hibe rna tion or whe n the compute r is turne d off. It is
re comme nde d tha t you connect the AC a da ptor to the compute r while
us ing S lee p a nd Charge function.
Exte rna l device s conne cte d to the US B bus powe r (DC5V) function
tha t inte rfa ces with the powe r ON/OFF of the computer ma y a lways be

Whe n S le e p a nd Cha rge function is e na bled, the US B Wa keup
function ma y not work for compa tible ports . In tha t ca s e , if the re is a
USB port tha t doe s not have the S le e p a nd Cha rge function, attach
the mous e or ke yboa rd to it. If a ll US B ports ha ve the S leep a nd
Cha rge function, change to disa ble S le e p a nd Charge function. The
USB Wa keup function will now work, but the S le e p a nd Cha rge
function will be dis able d.
