If the battery is completely discharge d, it will not
be gin charging immedia te ly, in the s e ins tance s you
s hould wa it a few minute s before trying a ga in. If
the ba ttery s till doe s not cha rge , you s hould check
tha t the power outle t the AC a da ptor is connecte d
to its s upplying power - this can be te s te d by
plugging anothe r a pplia nce into it.
Che ck whe the r the ba ttery is hot or cold to the
touch - if s o, it will not charge properly a nd s hould
be a llowe d to re a ch room te mpe ra ture be fore you
try a ga in.
Unplug the AC a daptor a nd re move the ba ttery to
ma ke s ure its conne cting te rmina ls a re cle a n - if
ne ce ssary wipe the m with a s oft dry cloth lightly
dippe d in a lcohol.
Conne ct the AC a da ptor a nd re pla ce the ba tte ry,
ta king care to e ns ure tha t it is s ecurely s e a te d in
the compute r.
Che ck the DC IN/Ba ttery indica tor - if it does not
glow, a llow the compute r to cha rge the ba ttery for
a t le a s t twe nty minute s . If the DC IN/Ba tte ry
indica tor s ta rts to glow a fte r this period, a llow the
ba tte ry to continue to cha rge for a t le a st a nothe r
twe nty minute s be fore turning on the computer.
Howe ve r, if the indicator s till doe s not glow, the
ba tte ry may be a t the e nd of its operating life and
s hould be re pla ce d. Howe ve r, if you do not believe
the ba ttery is a t the e nd of its ope ra ting life , you
s hould s pe a k to TOS HIBA S upport.
