Note: For the buttons on the control panel to be active, the lid must be properly closed.
The buttons will become inactive when the lid is not closed correctly. Refer to the section on
closing the lid.
5. Press the desired function button to select a cooking program. To switch between
modes, press the “+” or “-“ buttons.
Note: Please note that different functions require different cooking times.
6. Press the “Start” button to begin the program right away. If no button is pressed, the
Express Pot will begin cooking 10 seconds after the cooking program is selected. Note:
Press the “Cancel” button to cancel a cooking program and the appliance will return to
standby mode.
7. After cooking, the appliance may automatically enter “Warm” mode. The indicator light
of your chosen cooking program will turn off and the light for “Warm” mode will turn
on. Note: The appliance will also make a sound when it enters “Warm mode.”
CAUTION! DO NOT
allow “Warm” mode to run for more than 2 hours.
8. To use the “Warm” function from standby mode, press “Warm” button. The light for
“Warm” will turn on and the Express Pot will make a sound as it enters switches to your
chosen selection.
Open The Lid After Cooking:
Note: Please make sure the Express Pot is switched off and unplugged at the mains outlet
after cooking.
1. When the program nishes cooking, turn off the power supply at the outlet and unplug
the Express Pot.
CAUTION! DO NOT
open the lid until the exhaust has been released and the oat valve has
dropped down.
2. To quickly open the lid, turn the exhaust valve handle to the exhaust position until the
oat valve drops down. (For non-uid foods). Note: Please refer to the “Using the Lid
Exhaust Valve” section.
3. To normally open the lid, wait for the Express Pot to cool naturally for the oat valve to
drop down.
4. To open the lid: Hold the handle and turn it anti-clockwise until the
mark on the upper
cover’s edge is aimed at the
mark on the housing cover’s edge, and then lift the upper
cover. Please refer to the gure in the “Opening the Lid” section to see how the lid
opens.
WARNING! DO NOT
open before the pressure in the pot has been completely released. If
it lid is difcult to open do not open it.
WARNING! DO NOT
pull out the exhaust valve when you are turning it.
CAUTION!
After cooking uid foods (porridge or soup), do not turn the exhaust valve so
the lid can be opened quickly. The Express Pot must rst be switched off, unplugged from
the mains outlet, and must cool naturally for the oat valve to drop. You may ONLY open
the lid after appliance has cooled and the oat valve has dropped.
CAUTION! DO NOT
open the exhaust valve immediately. It’s suggested to keep the food
warm for a certain amount of time before opening the lid.
Note: When removing the lid, it will lift the inner pot if it’s lled with heavy food. If the inner
pot has lighter food, the lid will partially lift the pot as you remove it. If the two sections
become stuck, move the lid until the inner pot and lid separate.
