Flap area
ī Do not place objects on the flap
area. Objects placed behind the rear
seat may fall into the gap behind
the seatback. If objects are left in
the gap, the reclining seatback will
not lock properly, leaving the seat-
back free to move. When the ve-
hicle is in operation, moving seat-
backs may cause injury.
In the event that an object gets
caught behind the rear seatback,
contact your Toyota dealer.
1. Pull down the armrest in the rear
seat.
2. Push down the handle of the armrest
door and open the armrest door.
Access to the trunk can be prevented by
locking the armrest door with the master
key (vehicles with key cylinder- type igni-
tion switch) or mechanical key (vehicles
with smart key system).
To lock, turn the key counterclockwise.
