DISPLAY IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
An indicator appears on the instrument cluster when the system is active.
Green indicator: The system is turned on. A lane boundary has been
detected on at least one side of the vehicle and the
system is ready to intervene. Warnings will be issued.
Flashes green: The system is performing a steering intervention.
Lane Departure Warning with Steering Assist
The lane departure warning alerts when the vehicle is about to exit the lane.
This camera-based system must be able to detect the lane markings and the
vehicle must be traveling above 40 mph for the system to be active. The system
does not provide a warning if the turn signal is set in the respective direction before
leaving the lane. If the steering intervention feature is turned on, the system may
provide steering support to help keep the vehicle in the lane.
NOTE: Warnings are issued by means of a steering wheel vibration.
The severity of the steering wheel vibration can be adjusted.
