Smart Key system
Standby State
DRIVE-READY STATE
DISPLAY IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
CHANGE THE STATES
On – All electrical components can be used.
Stationary – Some electrical components can be used.
Off – All systems OFF.
NOTE: The Smart Key must be carried to enable the start function. With the
selector lever in Park* or N** and the brake pedal* or clutch pedal** depressed,
press the power button.
Without depressing the brake pedal* or clutch pedal**, pressing the power button
will change the state in succession from:
* Available only on vehicles with automatic transmissions
** Available only on vehicles with manual transmissions
Idle state
Standby state
Drive-ready state
When standby state is switched on, most functions can be used while the vehicle is
stationary. Desired settings can be adjusted.
The vehicle is in the standby state after the front doors are opened from the outside.
OFF is displayed in the instrument cluster.
The drivetrain is switched off and standby state switched on.
