TOYOTA SUPRA SAFETY
Blind Spot Monitor
(if equipped)
Blind Spot Monitor detects vehicles in the blind spot or vehicles approaching from
behind in the adjacent lane. A warning is issued in various gradations in these
situations.
Radar sensors monitor the area behind and next to the vehicle when traveling faster
than 15 mph.
The system indicates whether there are vehicles in the blind spot (1) or
approaching from behind in the adjacent lane (2) as shown in the image above.
A warning light in the exterior mirror will illuminate to indicate a vehicle in either of
these areas.
If signaling a lane change to an area where the system detects a vehicle, the
system will issue additional warning by flashing the light in the exterior mirror and
vibrating the steering wheel.
Refer to the “Owner’s Manual” for limitations and more details on this system.
