This button switches the pre-amplifier output of the PA 2000 R on and off. The
button lights up when the output is switched on.
If in the configuration menu the menu item „Headphones on/off“ is set to
„manual“, a long press on this button switch the headphone output on or off.

This button switches the loudspeaker output of the PA 2000 R on and off. The
button lights up when the output is switched on.
This button glows red, if the output signal is clipped. To protect against clipping,
the PA 2000 R has a protection circuit (See chapter entitled “Protection
circuit”).
System settings, tone settings
Briefly pressing this button opens and closes the tone control menu.

A long press switches the tone control on and off.

Brief press: switches FLAT mode on or off.
The button lights up when FLAT mode is active.
The FLAT function by-passes the tone control section of the amplifier, thereby
disabling the tone controls (bass and treble controls). The frequency
response is then absolutely linear.
A long press switches the Loudness (volume-dependent tone adjustment) on
and off. (see chapter “Tone control settings”)

Note regarding the use of headphones
Continuous listening to programme material at very high volume using
headphones or earphones can result in permanent loss of hearing. You can
avoid subsequent health problems by avoiding continuous listening at high
volume through headphones or earphones.
Remote control receiver
When using the remote control system please point the FM2000 handset in the
direction of the receiver.
It is essential to prevent potentially interfering light (from fluorescent lamps and
energy-saving bulbs) falling directly on the receiver, as this may markedly
reduce the effective range of the remote control system.
The line of sight between the FM2000 and the remote control receiver in the
PA 2000 R must not be interrupted by any obstacles. Installing the PA 2000 R
behind the glass doors of a cabinet will also adversely affect the remote control
system.
The operating range of the FM2000 remote control handset with the internal
infra-red receiver of the PA 2000 R is about 4...5 m.
