Section 1. Safety
Only qualified personnel should install and service the
equipment. The installation, starting up, and servicing
of heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning equipment
can be hazardous and requires specific knowledge
and training. Improperly installed, adjusted or altered
equipment by an unqualified person could result in
death or serious injury. When working on the equip-
ment, observe all precautions in the literature and on
the tags, stickers, and labels that are attached to the
equipment.
The appliance shall be stored in a room without
continuously operating ignition sources (for examples:
open flames, an operating gas appliance or an operat-
ing electric heater). Do no pierce or burn. Be aware
that refrigerants may not contain an odour.
This information is intended for use by individuals pos-
sessing adequate backgrounds of electrical and me-
chanical experience. Any attempt to repair a central
air conditioning product may result in personal injury
and/or property damage. The manufacture or seller
cannot be responsible for the interpretation of this in-
formation, nor can it assume any liability in connection
with its use.

tubing.

Ensure that the area is in the open or that it is ad-
equately ventilated before breaking into the system or
conducting any hot work.

Proper service equipment is required. Failure to use
proper service tools may result in equipment damage

USE ONLY R-454B REFRIGERANT AND APPROVED
COMPRESSOR OIL.
Extreme caution should be exercised when opening
the Liquid Line Service Valve. Turn counterclockwise
until the valve stem just touches the rolled edge. No
torque is required. Failure to follow this warning will
result in abrupt release of system charge and may
result in personal injury and /or property damage.

Scroll compressor dome temperatures may be hot. Do
not touch the top of compressor; it may cause minor
to severe burning.
LIVE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS!
During installation, testing, servicing, and trouble-
shooting of this product power should be discon-
nected. It may be necessary to work with live electrical
components. Failure to follow all electrical safety pre-
cautions when exposed to live electrical components
could result in death or serious injury.
The appliance is not to be used by persons (includ-
ing children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, un-
less they have been given supervision or instruction.
This product can expose you to chemicals including
lead, which are known to the State of California to
cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive
harm.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
If using existing refrigerant lines should be brazed not
soldered. Solder alloys with a melting temperature
less than 427°C are not acceptable.
