INSTALLATION CHECKLIST
CGWH Trane Water Cooled Liquid Chiller
This list must be checked off by the installer to ensure correct installation before the unit starts up.
Unit acceptance
o Check for damage, if any, on transportation
o Check for equipment shipped against delivery slip
o Check lifting system
Unit positioning
o Remove packaging
o Check position of unit
o Check unit is level
o Check clearance required for maintenance access
o Check position of rubber pads
Chilled water circuit
o Check presence of strainers ahead of evaporator and condenser
o Check the tightness of the water circuit
o Check thermometer positioning
o Check manometer positioning
o Check chilled water flow rate balancing system
o Check rinsing and filling of chilled water pipes
o Check pump operation and water flow
Electrical equipment
o Check direction of rotation of compressors
o Check chilled water pump drive rotation
o Check installation and rating of mains power switch/fuse
o Check that electrical connections comply with specification
o Check that electrical connections match information on manufacturer’s identification plate
o Check electrical connections and connections to mains power switch
o Water pressure switch
General
o Check available cooling charge (50% of rated installation load)
o Check with other trades handling installation works
