Inspect Pump Casing

Inspect Oil Chamber

Inspect/Remove Mechanical Seal

Remove Oil Casing

Remove the oil casing from the motor frame using hex bits, noting that oil will leak out.

Inspect Oil Casing, Seals, and Lifter

Inspect oil casing, O-ring, oil lifter, and mechanical seal for debris, damage, or wear.

Remove Oil Lifter

Lift the press-fit oil lifter from the oil casing to allow removal of the stationary mechanical seal.

Remove Lower Stationary Seal

Carefully tap the lower stationary seal out of the casing onto a soft surface.

Remove Lower Rotary Seal (Impeller Side)

Pry the upper portion of the rotary seal and spring from the impeller side using screwdrivers.

Remove Upper Rotary Seal (Motor Side)

Remove the upper seal from the motor side after the lower seal and spring are removed.

Motor Inspection

Test Capacitor

Test capacitor capacitance using a multimeter, ensuring it's within 5% of the stated value.

Inspect Rotor, Stator, and Bearings

Pull out the rotor assembly and inspect stator for burning or wetness; clean if necessary.

Replace Bearings

Check bearings for wobble or roughness; use a puller and press bearings onto the shaft correctly.

Pump Reassembly

Perform Run Test

Connect to power, check for normal operation, humming sound, and pushing air.
