Do you have a question about the Ubiquiti UF-OLT-4 and is the answer not in the manual?
The UF-OLT-4 is a Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) Optical Line Terminal (OLT) designed for high-density fiber deployments. It enables service providers to deliver high-speed internet, voice, and video services over a fiber optic network. The device supports up to 128 clients on each of its four GPON ports, making it suitable for scalable network infrastructure.
The UF-OLT-4 serves as the central point in a GPON network, connecting the service provider's network to the customer premises equipment (CPE) via fiber optic cables. It aggregates traffic from multiple Optical Network Units (ONUs) and provides connectivity to the broader internet. The device features four GPON OLT ports, each capable of supporting up to 128 clients, for a total of 512 clients per OLT. It also includes one 1G/10G SFP+ port for high-speed uplink connections, an RJ45 Ethernet port for out-of-band management (MGMT Port), and an RJ45 serial console port for Command Line Interface (CLI) management. The MGMT port supports 10/100/1000 Ethernet and, for firmware version 4.1 and newer, is set to DHCP Client with a fallback IP address of 192.168.1.20/24. Previous firmware versions default to a static IP of 192.168.1.1. The SFP+ port is hot-swappable and supports both 1G and 10G connections.
