CARE & REPAIR
Ordinary care of your Minicom IV requires replacing the batteries
when they no longer hold a full charge. You may be able to solve
other problems by reading the troubleshooting section of this
manual.
The battery compartment is the only user-serviceable
part. Any
repair work should be done by a qualified service person. Trying to
repair the unit yourself will void your warranty and may damage
the Minicom IV. The repair section explains how to get help.
About the batteries
The Minicom IV uses batteries when you unplug the AC adapter
or the power fails. The batteries will provide 45 to 60 minutes of
normal use when fully
charged. When the power light blinks, you
have about
10 minutes of battery power left. Use only six AA
rechargeable NiCad batteries in your Minicom. Do
not use alkaline
batteries. They will damage your unit.
