  If the Uniden Cordless Telephone doesn't make or receive calls, first check both ends of the base telephone line cord and ensure the AC adapter is properly connected to both the base and the wall outlet. Try disconnecting the AC adapter for a few minutes, then reconnect it. Also, make sure you're not too far from the base and that the line isn't already in use. If an outside call is already in progress, you won't be able to make another one. As a last resort, de-register and then re-register the handset.
