  If you cannot make or receive calls on your Uniden Cordless Telephone, ensure you are within range of the base. Also, verify that the line isn't already in use for an outgoing call. Check both ends of the base telephone line cord and ensure the AC adapter is properly connected to both the base and the wall outlet. Try disconnecting the AC adapter for a few minutes before reconnecting it. As a last resort, de-register and then re-register the handset.
