1. Turn the printer OFF
2. Clean the Wiper Blade with the use of DTFPRO De-Plasticizing Solution (see the END OF DAY
portion of the Daily Maintenance Procedure for a reminder)
3. Remove and plug the dampers with the included damper plugs to prevent ink leaks
4. Clean the printhead inlets using the De-Plasticizing Solution (make sure to use a separate Q-tip
on each color inlet so you don’t contaminate colors)
5. Insert the included cartridge holder
6. Remove the sealing plugs/tape from the breathing holes from the included maintenance
cartridges (these are filled with UNINET maintenance solution). If you have used the
maintenance cartridges before, make sure you insert them in the same order so that you do not
contaminate any colors
7. Attach the included elastic band to create a compartment to house the dampers and tubes so
that they are out of the way when the printhead carriage moves
8. Turn the printer ON
9. Run 3 cleaning cycles with the maintenance cartridges inserted
You can now turn the printer OFF with the maintenance cartridges inserted and go on vacation
for up to 2-3 weeks.
