Prior to commuting to a different measurement range or
measurement type, all connections must be disconnected
from UUT.
The measurements must be carried out in compliance with
the respectively valid standards.
5.1 Voltage Measurement
In order to avoid electrical shock, the valid Safety and VDE
regulations with respect to high contact voltage must be
complied with when working with voltage exceeding 120 V
(60V) DC or 50 V (25 V) rms AC. The values indicated in
brackets are valid for limited areas (such as e.g. medicine,
agriculture).
DC Voltage Measurement:
Select V measurement range using the measure-
ment function selection dial.
Connect the black test lead to the COM socket and the
red test lead to the Ohm/Volt/Conned/ socket.
Connect the test leads to UUT.
Read the measurement result on the display screen.
AC Voltage Measurement:
Select V~ measurement range using the measurement
function selection dial.
Connect the black test lead to the COM socket and the
red test lead to the Ohm/Volt/Cond/ socket.
Connect the test leads to UUT.
Read the measurement result on the display screen.
The Multimeter automatically selects the most
favourable measurement range (automatic ranging).
The RANGE key is used to manually set the measure-
ment range.
