5.3 Resistance Measurement
Prior to any resistance measurement, it must be en-
sured that the resistance to be tested is not live. Any
failure to respect this prescription can lead to serious
corporal injury or instrument damage. Furthermore,
external voltages falsify the measurement result.
Select Ω measurement range using the measurement
function selection dial.
Connect the black test lead to the COM socket and the
red test lead to the Ohm/Volt/Cond/ socket.
The resistance measurement range is pre-set. If the
symbol, the symbol, or the capacity measurement
is visible on the display, the SELECT key is used to se-
lect the resistance measurement range.
Connect the test leads to UUT.
Read the measurement result on the display screen.
The Multimeter automatically selects the most
favourable measurement range (automatic ranging).
The RANGE key is used to manually set the measure-
ment range.
If during the measurement process, the display is difficult
to view or is fluctuating, the measurement data can be
frozen by pressing the Hold key.
