5.5 Diode Test
Prior to any diode measurement, it must be ensured
that the diode to be tested is not live. Any failure to re-
spect this prescription can lead to serious corporal in-
jury or instrument damage. Furthermore, external
voltages falsify the measurement result.
Resistors or semiconductor paths located in parallel
to the diode falsify the measurement result.
Select Ω measurement range using the measurement
function selection dial.
Connect the black test lead to the COM socket and the
red test lead to the socket.
The SELECT key is used to select the diode test. The
diode symbol is displayed on the screen.
Connect the test leads to UUT.
Read the measurement result on the display screen.
The UNITEST Hexagon 110, 120 are equipped with an
acoustic socket control feature (ASC). If a test lead
connection is faulty an acoustic signal is emitted.
