5.5 Resistance Measurement
Prior to any resistance measurement, ensure that re-
sistance to be measured is not live. Failure to comply
with this prescription can lead to injuries or instrument
damage. Additionally, foreign voltages falsify the
measurement result.
" Select the measurement range using the
measurement function selection dial.
" Connect the black test lead to the COM socket and
the red test lead to the socket.
" The resistance measurement range is pre-set. If the
[Sound] symbol is displayed, the resistance meas-
urement range can be selected pressing the
key.
" Connect test leads to UUT.
" Read the measurement result displayed.
The multimeter automatically selects the most appro-
priate measurement range (auto-ranging). The
key is pressed for manual measurement range
selection.
If the display is not visible or fluctuating during the meas-
urement, the measurement value can be frozen by pressing
the key.
