7.0 Special Function
7.1 REC Function
The REC function allows detection of maximum and mini-
mum measurement values, respectively the difference be-
tween both values within a measurement series.
This function is activated by pressing the [REC] key.
LCD: [R] MAX and MIN
An acoustic signal is audible for every new maximum and
minimum value of the momentary measurement.
LCD: [R] MAX
The maximum value of the momentary measurement is
displayed.
LCD: [R] MIN
The minimum value of the momentary measurement is
displayed.
LCD: [R] MAX-MIN
The difference between the maximum and minimum values
of the momentary measurement is displayed.
To exit the REC function, press the [REC] key for longer
than 1s.
7.2 CREST Function
The CREST function (peak hold) allows detection of maxi-
mum and minimum values of brief signals (>0,8 ms). This
allows, for example, to measure the peak value of a sinus
voltage and to calculate the CREST factor (observe respec-
tive accuracy specifications).
When pressing the key, the CREST function is acti-
vated. The CREST function is only enabled for the following
measurement ranges: DC voltage, AC voltage, DC current,
and AC current.
