WATER COOLING SYSTEMS
The two drain plugs and a pipe cap removed at the factory are in a small bag attached to the barburetor
lever. Replace one plug in the bottom of water pum and one in the rear of the manifold near the exhaust
flange. Replace the pipe cap on the drain nipple out of the cylinder block water jacket located immediately
alongside the distributor.
WATER TEMPERATURE
An automatic by-pass temperature control is standard equipment on the engine. This temperature control
valve is required to maintain proper engine operating temperatures. If an engine is operated too cold,
condensation may form in the valve chamber causing sticky valves and other malfunctions.
