3.6.1.4 S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) information
This page can be used to control the S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) functions of the
hard disks connected to the DVR.
Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology or S.M.A.R.T. is a hard drive and SSD monitoring system for
detecting and providing reliability indicators with the goal of anticipating faults.
• Whole Evaluation not passed, continue to use the disk: if selected, this indicates that the HDD was not
completely analysed but the system can still use it.
• ID Hard Disk: Identification of the HDD (set by system).
• Self-check Type: select the type of analysis to be performed on the HDD; possible values are: Short, Whole.
• Self-check State: this indicates the check state performed on the disc (if run).
• TEMP (°C): Temperature of the HDD.
• Utility Time (d): Time of use (in days).
• Whole Evaluation: Result of the complete analysis of the HDD; possible values are: PASSED, NOT PASSED.
• S.M.A.R.T. Info: list of information provided by the S.M.A.R.T. system and respective results with respective
reference values. The information is mainly for use by expert personnel.
