AIR CLEANER SERVICE
Using gasoline or flammable solvent to clean the air filter can cause a
fire or explosion. Use only soapy water or nonflammable solvent.

MAIN FILTER
A dirty air cleaner will restrict air flow to the carburetor. To prevent
carburetor malfunction, service the air cleaner regularly. Service more
frequently when operating the gener ator in extremely dusty areas.
Operating the engine without an air filter, or with a damaged air filter,
will allow dirt to enter the engine, causing rapid engine wear. This type
of damage is not covered by the
Distributor's Limited Warranty.
Soak the main and outer filter in
clean engine oil and squeeze out the
excess oil. The engine will smoke
during initial startup if too much oil
is left in the air filters.
Wash the main and outer filter in a
solution of household detergent
and warm water, then rinse
t h o r o u g h l y , o r w a s h i n
nonflammable or high flash point
solvent. Allow the air filters to dry
thoroughly.
Loosen the cover screw and remove
the maintenance cover.
Loosen the air cleaner cover screw,
and remove the air cleaner cover.
