INITIAL USE INSTRUCTIONS
ADDING ENGINE OIL
WITHOUT OIL
Do not overfill the engine with oil.

The generator is shipped in the engine.
With the generator in a level position, remove the oil filler cap/
dipstick.
If the engine is overfilled, the
excess oil may be transferred to the air cleaner housing and air filter.
Screw in the oil filler cap/dipstick securely.
Reinstall the maintenance cover.
Add enough SAE 10W-30 API service classification SJ or later (or
equivalent) oil to bring the oil level to the upper limit of the oil filler
neck. SAE 10W-30 oil is recommended for general use; for
additional recommendations, see page .
Loosen the cover screw and remove the maintenance cover.
Place the generator on a level surface.1.
