8 Decommissioning
8.1 Replacing the controller
If the controller of the heating system needs to be replaced,
then the heating system must be shut down.
This work should be conducted by a skilled tradesman.
8.2 Recycling and disposal
The controller and the associated transport packaging con-
sist largely of recyclable materials.
Unit
If your Vaillant unit is identified with this symbol, it
does not belong with your household waste at the end of its
useful life.
▶ In this case, make sure that the Vaillant unit and any
accessories are properly disposed of at the end of their
useful life.
As this Vaillant unit is covered by the law regarding the
marketing, return and environmentally friendly disposal of
electrical and electronic equipment (ElektroG in Germany),
the unit can be disposed of free of charge at a municipal
collection point.
Packaging
Leave the disposal of the transport packaging to the ap-
proved qualified servicing company that installed the unit.
