GAS CONSUMPTION

OPERATING THE FIRE

Lighting with a taper

Procedure for lighting the pilot flame using a taper when the spark fails.

CLEANING

Metal parts

Clean metal parts with a damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners.

Coals and burner compartment walls

Handle RCF material carefully; brush soot off, avoid vacuum cleaners.

FUEL BED REFITTING

Rear wall

Place the ceramic rear wall into the back of the fire box.

Front base coal

Position the two halves of the front base coal in the burner compartment.

Rear base coal

Place the rear base coal behind the front coal, touching the rear ceramic wall.

Ceramic side walls

Place side walls marked 'L' and 'R' in the fire box and base coal recesses.

Front row outer coals

Place two remaining coals in outer valleys of front coal, ensuring pilot visibility.

Middle row of coals

Place three remaining coals behind and between front row coals.

MAINTENANCE

Debris from the chimney

Keep chimney clear; check annually for soot/mortar obstruction.

General servicing

Contact supplier for attention; annual checks recommended for safety.

Replacement Parts

List of ceramic fuel bed parts and their corresponding part numbers.
