Zone Fire
(False Alarm)
- EOL Resistor - Shall be 6.8K Ohm
- Inspect the alarm
activated zone
IF FALSE ALARM
1. Check the possible
causes and rectified the
problem
2. Press “Sounder
Silence” (Yellow-2)
(After 3 min alarm)
3. Press “Reset”
(Green-3)
If unable to Reset
1. Press “Buzzer
Silence” (Black-1)
2. Press “Sounder
Silence” (Yellow-2)
(After 3 min alarm)
3. Call for service
“LS” (Red) - Line Short
(@ back of ZDM)
- Zone line - Line short circuit
- Zone line - Line open circuit
- Zone Detector - Missing / Removed
- Zone Termination - Loose
- Sub Alarm Panel - Fault at Sub Panel
Zone Fault
If not,
May be Line Open
- EOL Resistor - Shall be 6.8K Ohm
All Zone Fault - Detector Fuse - Blown
- Alarm Fuse - Blown
- Termination - Loose
- EOL Resistor - Shall be 6.8K Ohm
Alm-1 / Alm-2
“O” (Amber) - Open
(@ FBM)
- Alarm line - Open circuit
- Alarm line - Connection reversed
- Short circuit
Sounder Fault
Alm-1 / Alm-2
“S” (Red) - Short
(@ FBM)
- Bell / Sounder - Polarized Bells /
Sounders shall be used
- Connection reversed
- Faulty
1. Press “Buzzer
Silence” (Black-1)
2. Check the possible
causes and rectified
3. When fault is
rectified, back to normal
If unable to normalise
1. Call for service
Tip: To segregate, the
fault caused by either
Line or Panel problem:
1. Dismantle the line
2. Terminate with EOL
Resistor
Fault clear,
- LINE problem
Fault remains,
- PANEL problem
