Maintenance Features:
- Dirt Container Emptying and Cleaning:
- The dirt container should be emptied and cleaned regularly for optimum suction.
- To remove, press the dirt container release button.
- It can be emptied from either or both ends simultaneously by holding it over a bin and pressing the dirt release clips.
- Remove fluff and hair from inside.
- Close both covers and push firmly until it clicks into place.
- Do not overfill.
- Pre-Motor Filter Cleaning:
- Requires cleaning at least every 3 months, or every time the dirt container is emptied.
- To access, remove the dirt container, then remove the filter holder containing the pre-motor filter, and finally remove the filter from the holder.
- Clean thoroughly under running water (up to 40°C MAX).
- Leave to dry completely at room temperature for at least 24 hours before reinserting.
- Insert back into the filter holder and place the holder back on the machine, pushing the dirt container firmly until it clicks.
- Post-Motor Filter Maintenance:
- Designed for long life with no maintenance, but should be checked periodically.
- Replace when heavily discoloured (recommended every 12 months).
- Do not wash, scrub, or brush as this will damage the delicate filter media.
- To access, press both tabs to release the cover and flip it open.
- Remove the filter by pulling on the catch.
- Carefully tap the filter over a bin to remove dirt and debris.
- Carefully clean the filter with a soft brush.
- Replace by lining up tabs on the bottom of the machine and pushing until it clicks.
- TurboTool Blockage Removal:
- Unplug before servicing.
- Remove 2 screws (A) from the bottom cover with a crosshead screwdriver.
- Remove the bottom cover (B).
- Clean out any debris or hair from the brushbar and turbine fan.
- Replace the bottom cover, insert, and tighten screws.
- Do not add lubricant to the brushbar bearings.
- Hose Blockage Removal:
- Remove the hose from the vacuum cleaner and telescopic extension tube.
- Insert a wire coat hanger into the hose to remove blockages.
- To test for clear hose, drop a small ball of paper into it; it should drop through.
- Filter Replacement: Replace filters every 6-9 months.

Troubleshooting Guidance:
- Accessory Missing: Check the 'Contents' panel on the box.
- No Pick-up/Suction:
- Check if the dirt container is correctly fitted and locked.
- Check for blockages in the shroud, separator, or hose/tube.
- Clean clogged filters.
- Empty the dirt container if blocked.
- No Power:
- Check if the plug is fully pushed into the socket.
- Check and replace the fuse in the plug (British 13amp fuse).
- If the motor thermostat tripped, unplug, empty dirt container, check for blockages, clean filters, and allow to cool for 1 hour.
- Ensure filters are completely dry if recently washed (wait 24 hours).
