SECTION C
OPERATION
C-8 VENTRAC 3000 VPI
When engaging power to front attachments, it is
necessary for the operator to be seated in the seat.
Increase the engine speed to at least 2500 RPM’s.
(See RPM indicator on the dash). Check that all is
clear before engaging the PTO switch (Figure 24).
When the PTO switch is engaged, an operation light
will come on. When the engine is cold, stalling is
possible at the moment of engagement. Increase the
engine RPM’s and/or increase the warm-up time and
try again. The VENTRAC 3000 is equipped with a
heavy-duty electric clutch causing potential engine
stalls by the abrupt and forceful transfer of power.
An integral brake system stops the PTO within 7
seconds when the switch is moved to OFF or the seat
switch is deactivated.
PTO ENGAGEMENT
DETACHMENT
Attachments are detached by reverse sequence of
the attaching steps.
Note: EASY-TACH lever between the hitch arms
must be moved to the left side of the machine to
release the attachment. (Figure 23)
Note for mower hook up— If mower arms are too
low for the initial engagement, lift the mower
cutting height to a high position. This will position
the hitch arms high enough for drive-in contact.
